After posting  articles about administrative bully Michael Timms, the newly appointed Principal of Tyler Independent School District there were record hits on my blog page with regards to the articles span-ding a two week period.

Along with the articles, I posted audios of my 4 year working relationship with Michael Timms who was Principal of Bessie Coleman Middle School in Cedar Hill, Texas.

In the articles I did not hide the fact that I believed that Michael Timms’ appointment as Principal of John Tyler High School should be rescinded, because of serious character issues.

It appears that my calling for the ouster of Michael Timms as Principal of John Tyler High School struck a nerve with a gentleman who called himself Rodreck Lee.

According to Mr. Lee he had spoken with about 23 members of the JT community and my bringing to the attention of the Tyler ISD the character issues with regards to Michael Timms was an attack on the entire JT community, and family.

We exchanged email messages for a couple of days with Mr. Lee trying to make the point to me that what Timms did as principal of Cedar Hill has nothing to do with his job performance as Principal of John Tyler High School, and my reply to Mr. Lee was that Timms is a leopard, and a leopard’s spots never changes.

offered Mr. Lee,  the opportunity to come on my show The Watchful Eye to explain his views, and he refused, but he simply said that the posting of articles, and audios of Michael Timms’ character as Principal of Cedar Hill ISD is simply a vendetta on my part, and he asked the question why now?

In our exchange, I expressed that I formed The Watchful Eye as a mechanism to level the playing field  for parents, students, employees, and community members to  hold school administrators responsible for there actions.

To often Administrative Bullies like Michael Timms, and others when confronted with their behaviors are simply allowed to resign and move on to other school districts and continue to cause long term harm to others.  After going back an forth with Mr. Lee, I came away with the feeling that Mr. Rodreck Lee was probably not simply a members of the JT community whose sole purpose was to protect the reputation of John Tyler High School but probably a co-worker.

While attempting to paint me as someone who is out of touch with the struggles of a black community because I mentioned that Michael Timms and I worked together at a suburban school in Cedar Hill, Texas, Mr. Lee’s tone changed when I listed experiences that I have had in my 20 years of working in education with 5 of those years coming from working in South Oak Cliff High School in South Dallas. Prior to my teaching experience in South Dallas, I spent some years as a social worker with the Little Rock School District in the early 90s working with inter-city gang kids and their families, of which many were featured in the HBO Documentary “Bangin in Little Rock.” .

I quickly came away with the feeling that Mr. Rodreck Lee was probably not the voice of the JT community, but probably someone working close to Principal Michael Timms trying to convince me to back off of Timms with the articles about his character.

my offer to Mr. Lee, and anyone else including the Tyler Independent School Board of Trustees the opportunity discuss any matters with regards to my working relationship with Michael Timms, and why I truly believe his appointment as principal should be rescinded.

The goal of The Watchful Eye is to expose Administrative Bullies regards of race, skins color, or economic status.

I decided to share a portion of the email exchanges between myself, and Mr. Rodreck Lee, and although Mr Lee refused to come on my show and discuss the issues, I do believe he has the right to disagree without any form of retaliation for sharing his thoughts.

My reason for sharing the email exchanges is to make the point that I have no personal issues with the John Tyler Independent School District, and the district can choose to either take actions, or not take actions against Timms, but my reporting of Michael Timms’ character is no way a personal attack of the JT community, or its school district.

I felt that the employees who have to work for, and with the man are entitled to know Michael Timms’ character so they can make a informative decision where their employment status is concerned.

(email exchages)

You are right about one thing, there is no need to continue going back and forth about Timms. My main concern is and always will be John Tyler and Timms just so happens to be our principal. When he decides to no longer be our principal then more power to your relationship with him but while he is here, he is a part of John Tyler. In my eyes and in the eyes of many others, all things John Tyler are good and those that oppose can get to stepping. WE ARE JOHN TYLER!

If you are right then when i go under the open record act and get a copy of Timms’ application where the question often asked of applicants during the hiring process is, have you ever dismissed from your job while under investigation, or have you resigned after learning that your contract would not be renewed? How do you think Timms answered these questions, you know the point i am making, and  that is he probably lied on his job application which is grounds for termination. I have audio proving that he was under investigation, and he said that he wanted to be released out of his contract by Cedar Hill ISD.
I am not hiding the fact that I plan to ensure that Timms is terminated from his job in the same manner for which he terminated others. We are making a point to bullies like Timms, and others like him, and that message is stop using your position of leadership  to ruin the lives of people you are upset with, and allow a fair process to take place.

DISD is nothing like TISD and there are no gangs at JT but there is an underlying motive that you can’t fathom. TISD is pretty thorough with their hiring so that should let you know “you can’t touch Timms” which why I have stuck to my concerns about John Tyler. The only blow you are succeeding at striking is a blow against John Tyler. Any negative remarks you fire at Timms will be twisted and only the students and the school will suffer. Timms is no savior but he has played an important role reassuring parents their students will be treated fairly by  all his staff. I can support that any day of the week.

I am aware of the history of the two schools, and I have been following the tradition of the school district for years, but just because one school is perceived as being less then the other,  is no excuse to accept a bad principal as a academic leader.
I have been fighting issues that affect African American students, and other minority students for years. I don’t have to brag about my accomplishments because they speak for themselves.
I was a counselor at South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas when an African American principal and his black security staff were forcing African American students to participate in what was called cage fighting. This went on for years, and the African American community allowed it to happened because they chose to put winning state basketball championships over protecting the lives of children.
When I exposed this incident, my life was threaten, by black administration at central office while the white ones stood by and did nothing about it.
When Timms found out that I worked at the school known as SOC, he made plans to get rid of me because he did not want me around because I had put a stop to the cage fighting at South oak Cliff High School.
Please do not think that I am just some guy who has worked for a suburban school district and do not understand the dynamics of a school district like Tyler ISD. You might want to check out an HBO documentary called “Gang Bangin in Little Rock,” to get an understanding that I have some skins on the wall, and when I say a person has character issues I have the qualifications to make such a statement. I understand black dynamics and all the things that going with being black, but, Michael Timms as Principal is not good for black people.
Just because a person is black does not mean that they should not be held accountable for their actions, it is time that we as a people stop making black excuses, and put the right black leaders in charge.
I have filed a complaint with the office of Civil Rights on the behalf of black and minority children in the Cedar Hill School District because African American Students are being physically abused by members of the school district who are white, and members of the Cedar Hill ISD  athletic department this has been going on for years.
There are so many stories I can share with you about Michael Timms, such as the one when a African American teacher who transferred to our campus because she filed a grievance because white members of the alternative were sending around emails with fulled with nigger jokes.
Timms took part in a conspiracy along with Dr. Homer Carter, Cedar Hill ISD’s Director of Curriculum and Instructions who pressured the teacher to drop the grievance she filed against the racist principal of the alternative school. Timms was recording telling Carter that when the teacher transferred to his school, he would work her so hard she would quit.
